Is it necessary to pay or buy a surgery before traveling?

No, it is not. You will be required to pay surgery once you know the Medical Center and the team that will assist you. Only a money wire transfer via Western Union totaling USD 300 as reservation is required. This amount will be discounted from the surgery price at the time of its payment at the RP Medical Center, after meeting the team that will assist you.

Is it necessary to make a reservation before undergoing surgery?

Yes, the patient will be required to make a money wire transfer via Western Union totaling USD 300 in order for the Medical Center to reserve a date for surgery and book the patient’s accommodation if necessary. Usually such reservation is made one month before the date of surgery chosen by the patient so that the Medical Center may confirm it to the patient.

When must a surgery be paid?

In general a surgery is paid after the first consultation at the Medical Center or, at the latest, one day before the date of surgery, but never after it. Payment shall only be made during the Medical Center’s working days and hours - from Monday to Friday. The Medical Center will not accept payments made during the weekend (Saturday and Sunday).

What about the reservation if I decide to postpone a surgery?

If surgery is postponed, the USD300 as reservation will be valid for six months following the date it was made. This amount will be discounted from the surgery price at the time of its payment at the RP Medical Center. After six months, reservation will be lost and, if a new surgery date was not agreed during this term and the patient wishes to agree on a new date, it will be required to make a reservation equal to such amount. In this case, the amount of the first reservation is not reimbursable.

What about reservation if I decide to cancel a surgery?

If you decide to cancel a surgery, the reservation is lost in its entirety. In this case, the amount is not reimbursable. If you decide to postpone it, the reservation will be valid for six months following the date it was made, and the amount will be discounted from the surgery price at the time of its payment at the RP Medical Center.

What happens if, after paying the full price, I decide not to undergo surgery?

The Medical Center will return the patient the full amount paid at the Medical Center before the surgery. The patient will lose the USD 300 for reservation previously made. In this case, the amount paid for reservation is not reimbursable, while the amount paid for the surgery is fully reimbursable. Since at the time of payment of the surgery the USD 300 as reservation were discounted from the price, the patient will be returned the surgery price minus the non-reimbursable USD 300. In this case, instead of having six-month validity, the reservation made is automatically rendered invalid after the surgery is cancelled. In order to agree on a new surgery date, the patient will be required to make a new reservation.
